Certificates that are actually enforced

A catalogue of the tickets your work requires, holdings per employee with expiry - and a shift plan that refuses to put someone on a shift they do not have the papers for.

The catalogue

Your own certificate types

You create the tickets your work actually requires - scaffolding, crane, epoxy, hot work, site cards, forklift. That catalogue is what everything else points at.

  • A free catalogue - you decide what exists
  • Used by both projects and shift planning
  • Works on its own if you only want the papers tracked
  • One catalogue across departments
Staffing demand in Staffly: how many people and which roles each department needs on each weekday.
Per employee

Who holds what - and for how much longer

The certificate sits on the individual employee with the document and an expiry date. Expiry is optional, because not every ticket runs out.

  • The document stored encrypted on the employee
  • Expiry optional - lifetime certificates exist
  • Type and dates read automatically from the document
  • If the type is not recognised, you pick it yourself

The part that matters

A hard rule, not a note

Shift planning checks the certificate against the date of the shift. If the employee is missing a required certificate - or it has expired by that day - they cannot be assigned it, claim it as an open shift, or swap into it.

  • Checked against the shift date, not today's
  • Applies to assignment, open shifts and swaps
  • The automatic weekly proposal skips them
  • Left open and flagged, rather than wrongly staffed
Staffly proposing a full week of shifts: 28 new shifts, 28 staffed, 0 that cannot be covered, with the reasoning behind each assignment.
Before it bites

A warning before a certificate expires

Expired paperwork is usually discovered on the day somebody is standing on site and is not allowed to work. Staffly surfaces the ones about to run out while there is still time to renew them.

  • "Certificates expiring soon" on the dashboard
  • Overview per employee and per certificate type
  • Renewal recorded on top of the old ticket
  • History preserved rather than overwritten
